A comfortable and very pleasant hotel, a good base for seeing Kanazawa.

It’s location was great for accessing everything in Kanazawa and a fun part of town to be in. Staff were helpful and we were very comfortable.

As we had to leave before breakfast on our last day it was disappointing that the hotel could not provide a packed alternative, as so many places do.

Great location, very comfy bed, small room but cleverly laid out, so it was a great use of space. Good coffee at the in-house Cafe. Lots of recommendations for local sight seeing.

Please make your staff happy so they can work happily.

It was my second stay at the hotel, and the first time for my friends who really wanted to try OMO. The location is great, near restaurants and shops, few minutes away from the 21st century museum.

The staffs whom we have encountered this time were somehow quite indifferent to our requests for assistance. We wanted to sign up for a walking tour and was told that the group was full. Ok we understand. We needed to call for a taxi to go to station, and was told that they cannot call for us.. and they were not able to tell us what was the reason that they couldn’t make such a call from hotel reception desk. As this is my second stay, I just felt that the basic friendliness was missing. We didn’t expect 5-star service but we did not even see much smiles in the hotel this time.

Good value for money

Good location, walkable to all main sights. Good connection to Kanazawa train station. The bed was super comfortable and they provided pyjamas which was really nice. I didn't like the fact that the sink was in the middle of the hallway and that bathroom was actually a huge shower/bathtub, but we managed despite this. The hotel also organises a Kogei night (traditional Japanese tea and sweets) every evening for their guests which was a nice experience althought by the time we got there (at 8 PM sharp) they have already started introducing everything (before the official activity start) and did so only in Japanese, so I felt like we missed the story behind Kogei.

A bit stress to get to by public transportation from Kanazawa train station. Have to pay to rent a pair of pjs.

New and modern

Everything is new and modern. We had a really good sleep. It was centrally located allowing us to walk to most sites of interest.

It fronts a pedestrian street where cars are not allowed until 7 pm. Getting there with bags from the parking lot, a few blocks away, was a hassle. Amenities are available - for example t-shirts, slippers, iron, for small rental fee. There is no tea or coffee available in your room. But bc the room rate was so reasonable, it did not offend me. It was a bit surprising though. Breakfast buffet did not seem to be geared for Western tastes so we skipped it. Plenty of other options nearby.

The hotel is close to eateries, located along the walking street that forbid vehicles from entering. Breakfast is very simple and limited, choice of one out of three. Comfortable PJ provided.

Hard to locate the hotel as it is located among the walking street. Parking is inconvenient, have to walk about 15minutes to reach the carpark. The hotel has foreign staffs that are very helpful. But one of the Japanese staffs that was working in the night shift was very unfriendly/not helpful. I wanted extra pillows as the ones provided were too soft and not providing supported, she rejected my request saying there wasn't any available. I only got them the following day after complaining through Booking.com. As it was written on my agreement that coffee would be provided in the room. When I couldn't find any, I asked and was rejected. So in the future, remember to bring your own coffee if you need any.

Great location and smart hotel.

The room was a delight. So very well appointed and thought out design-wise.

It was unfortunate that reception wouldn't call a taxi upon request, but handed us a list of taxis to call instead. There were no english-speaking taxi companies on that list, so it took a bit of frantic googling and a wonderful operator who went out of his way to get us a taxi from his company. The hotel was a bit difficult to find on maps according to the taxi company, but we got there!

Amazing hotel and staff but bad breakfast

The staff is very nice and friendly, eager to help. The hotel is nice and modern; and the rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The location is quite good

Very poor breakfast. It is neither a traditional Japanese nor a continental breakfast. The choice is between risotto dishes, a bad take on a French classic, or some pastries. There was also no lactose intolerance options, only whole milk was available. I would not pay to have the breakfast included in this overall very good hotel.

A nice stay at walking distance to the old Nishi Chaya district.

The place is well located a short walk from the traditional area of Nishi Chaya and nice restaurants. The only thing that could be better is the breakfast. We booked including breakfast but that only gives you a choice of a few Japanese dishes which we did not really like or 2 bread rolls. So that would be a slight improvement point. But the place is very new, the rooms are clean and quiet.
